There are a few places that I've visited that I can't wait to get back to — and Rhode Island is one of those places. Luckily, with balmy ocean breezes, stunning scenery, and lobster, lobster, and more lobster, there are countless reasons to return again and again. Here are a few snapshots that might just pique your interest in visiting, too!
Castle Hill Inn, Newport
Let me just say I thought this place was heaven on earth. Not only is Castle Hill Inn extremely picturesque and perfectly situated along the Narragansett Bay, which provides a constant stream of sail boats to watch, but The Lawn — the popular outdoor seating area — also has a delicious snacking menu that features lobster sliders, pork belly carnitas, and freshly made guacamole. Be sure to order their popular blackberry lemonade cocktail — it's extremely refreshing on a warm summer day.
My friend and I may or may not have sat on The Hill for five straight hours and gotten completely sun burned. I still returned the next day!

Cliff Walk, Newport
Just when I thought the coast of Rhode Island couldn't get any more beautiful we pulled up to the famous Cliff Walk, which did not disappoint. The 3.5 mile walk is fairly easy with panoramic ocean views and stately mansions around every corner.

Block Island, RI
Only a short ferry ride from the mainland of Rhode Island sits the incredibly beautiful Block Island. It's full of stunning scenery with jagged cliffs, ocean views for miles, and two historic lighthouses. You can take your car over to explore or rent bikes for the day! It was the perfect day trip, but if you have more time I highly suggest staying on the island for a few days. There are several hotels to choose from, including the Surf Hotel, Spring House Hotel, and the 1661 Inn.
